On Saturday, January 19, 2013, I traveled to Finksburg, Maryland to the Region IV Agricultural Mechanics Career Development Event. Five FFA chapters from all over Region IV tested their skills in several different areas such as electrical systems, energy systems, structural systems, tool identification and equipment identification, and a team activity that consisted of comparing different farm machinery based on its efficiency. Hereford FFA took home first place and will go on to the state contest this spring at the University of Maryland.
